St. Columbkill Fashion Show
Swing into Spring Fashion Show was held at St. Columbkill Church in Boyertown, PA on April 6th, 2008 from 12 noon to 3:00 pm. One hundred thirty people attended the event and enjoyed a stuffed chicken and baked ziti luncheon prepared by Sweet Beginings, also of Boyertown, PA. Fourteen models from the church participated wearing fashions and accessories from CASABLANCO. John E. White was the MC and Michelle White was the Show organizer. The event raised $1,400 for St. Columbkill Church.

Joining Forces with Potters for Peace

On January 19th, 2008, HEART and Potters for Peace joined forces to spread the filter technology across the globe. Potters for Peace has been establishing new filter factories in Central and South America from 2001. Now at the number of 19 factories these two organizations joined together to both reinforce the effectiveness of the already established factories and to continue expansion in countries still without clean water.

This new partnership will help both organizations to grow towards accomplishing the United Nations Millennium Goal to halve the number of people in the world unable to reach or afford safe drinking water by the year 2015. This partnership will build on the strengths of both organizations in their determination to deliver potable water to those living in extreme poverty in third world countries.

Since 2002, HEART for the Nations has been promoting the funding of the ceramic water filter in Guatemala and has delivered over 2,000 filters to date.

CASABLANCO FAIR TRADE STORE supports HEART for the Nations.

Through speaking engagements and fundraising events at churches, universities, service clubs, elementary and high schools, HEART has educated Americans to the dire need for potable water in the third world. In 2007 HEART investigated the needs for water in Ecuador and contacted Potters for Peace to construct a new water filter factory in Pimampiro. This led to a series of meetings between both groups to discuss not only the needs of Ecuador but the global need in the Americas, Africa, the middle east and far east. read more

Every day over 4,000 children under the age of 5 die because of water borne diseases. It doesn't have to be this way. Casablanco donates 100% of their profits to HEART for the Nations. HEART supplies free water filters to those living in extreme poverty around the globe. Now in three central American countries, HEART is expanding throughout Africa and South America with Potters for Peace.

A Water Filter for one family supplies water for one year to approximately 6 - 10 people. It prevents diarrhea by removing fecal coliform and e-coli bacteria and keeps children healthy. You can help.
